The objective of this project was to assess the viability of developing a voluntary carbon offset project that generates voluntary emission reductions (VERs) through the establishment of cocoa agroforestry systems in Saint Vincent and Ghana.

The study compared two accounting frameworks - the Plan Vivo Standard and the Verified Carbon Standard - and presented an initial assessment of the overall feasibility of the proposed cocoa agroforestry carbon project as well as estimates of carbon offsets generated by project activities.
