As energy and carbon prices rise, costs are passed on directly by suppliers. A programme to manage supply chain carbon offers the opportunity to limit these current and future cost liabilities.
The process can also strengthen supplier relationships by working towards shared goals of reducing costs and carbon, whilst supporting CSR and sustainability objectives. Managing your supply chain carbon helps you reduce costs and strengthen supplier relationships.
We can develop a programme to make your supply chain more sustainable. We’ll first look at your supplier performance to identify carbon hot spots in the chain. With robust evidence of any wastage, we’ll then target areas to action and work with your suppliers to drive out carbon heavy components. We’ll also help you adjust your procurement and logistics strategies and actively help your suppliers improve their processes.
We’ve developed sustainable supply chain management initiatives with companies including JCB, Morphy Richards, Crest Nicholson (AIMC4 project) and the Carbon Trust (brewing and dairy sector-wide initiatives).

Camco Advisory Services Ltd (CAS) worked with Aggregate Industries to develop a strategic approach to carbon management. The programme identified a series of CO2 emissions reduction projects within the company’s UK operations. The carbon management strategy includes a business case, an opportunities register, an implementation plan and on-going strategic support.
