Junior Consultant – Policy, Strategy & Compliance

Location: Overmoor (Corsham, near Bath)

Salary: £24-28k depending on experience

Overall Role Purpose

Primary Responsibilities

Project Management

To deliver required project inputs according to time, quality and budget requirements. In time, you will take responsibility for project work streams and small-scale consulting projects.

Technical input

Provide technical input and effective data analysis to projects to support the achievement of deliverables to time and budget

Business development and proposal writing

Assist proposal creation through the collation of required information and to provide support to managers and directors in order to achieve individual and sales targets.

Client management

Maintain strong relationships with existing clients through professional interactions.

Operational

Provide timely responses to operational needs including time-sheeting, invoicing, reviews, project management information, health & safety, etc. 

Performance targets

To take shared responsibility for meeting or exceeding targeted levels of personal performance and productivity and for advertising capacity levels and availability

We are looking for someone who has a degree (or equivalent) in engineering, economics, sciences, environmental or in an equivalent and relevant area.  You will preferably have some experience support/advising clients on technical issues associated with energy efficiency.  You’ll have the ability to work independently and creatively on challenging research problems, and will have strong data analytics and IT skills.

The role will also include targeted business development activities to support the acquisition of new work.

Project Management: to manage global data management and environmental reporting projects to ensure delivery to client on time, to quality and within agreed budget.  Supporting the delivery of our clients’ sustainability objectives and being a pro-active and confident agent of change to help ensure they continue to be a market leader in ESG.

 

Account management: to maintain strong relationships with existing clients and build new relationships in order to win further work including cross-selling Verco’s full range of services

 

Technical input: to provide technical input on the environmental performance of property assets to support the achievement of deliverables to time and to budget

 

Business development and proposal writing: Identifies opportunities for sales and business development. Progresses business development opportunities in order to increase sales and meet targets. Writes proposals to meet the needs of clients and secure sales

 

External champion for service: Promote Verco’s services via networking externally and maintaining strong client relationships in order to bring in new clients and gain repeat work from existing clients
