The Role

Our Junior Consultants provide excellent technical resource to projects and business development activities, supporting the delivery of complex projects. You will work on projects for different teams across the business working with a selection of the world’s top companies, and the UK’s leading sustainability teams, to help them meet their energy management and sustainability requirements.  This role will focus on energy use in manufacturing and retail, for example food and beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical sites, where large amounts of energy is consumed in their processes.

Responsibilities

You will be required to support the delivery of projects and be responsible for the completion of tasks on time, to quality and within an agreed budget under the supervision of project managers.

You will provide technical input (with training), to support the delivery of our energy management consultancy services to Verco’s Corporate clients.  This will include visiting manufacturing, industrial and retail sites, providing optimisation advice, and completing onsite energy audits, group programme support and the development of net zero carbon strategies for client’s assets. 

You will work with our in-house energy management software and other third party systems to provide remote analytical support reviewing energy consumption trends, identifying unexpected usage and suggesting potential causes/solutions.  You will work with clients to develop metering and data collection solutions that are supported by Verco’s proprietary Carbon Desktop Software.

As a Junior Consultant you will support Project Directors with business development activities, such as proposal writing, and will maintain strong relationships with existing clients through professional interactions.

Energy Data Analyst/Administrator

Location: Chorley (but all locations will be considered)

The Opportunity

The Energy Data Analyst/Administrator role will provide excellent technical support to our consultants, in the validation and analysis of ongoing utility usage; identifying errors in the energy data, and reporting on issues in relation to site impact. You will be working to maintaining and improving our data systems and providing initial insight for consultants for corporate reporting. You will be working with worldwide large manufacturing and energy intensive clients and helping to grow important accounts.

Within the Deliver for Zero team, the Energy Data Analyst/Administrator will support the delivery of energy and water management consultancy services to Verco’s manufacturing and energy intensive clients using Verco’s proprietary energy management software Carbon DesktopTM and associated systems such as automatic metering and monitoring and telemetry systems.

The role represents the entry point within Verco’s career structure and the opportunity to develop and demonstrate your capabilities. You’ll have a keen focus on extracting data from metering and monitoring equipment associated with our energy management services. It is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the worlds leading Real Estate companies to help shape and achieve their net zero carbon targets. 

You'll become part of a mission driven, award winning, employee owned consultancy; a company at the forefront to the transition to zero carbon.  

The purpose of the role is to act as a client account lead for key clients in the Real Estate sector, managing the client relationship, and leading the technical delivery of complex environmental reporting, strategic sustainability, performance management, and benchmarking projects.  By engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, you will play a key role in managing sustainability risks and realising opportunities.

The role will also include targeted business development activities to support the acquisition of new work.

We are looking for someone you has strong client relationship management skills, coupled with ability to manage large complex projects/programmes and project teams.  This role is focused on Environmental Reporting, and therefore Data management and environmental reporting for property portfolios experience will also be required.
