Job Purpose

You will  provide the right technical solutions to help our clients meet their ambitious energy, cost and carbon reduction measures,  and consequently actively contribute to our vision to help our clients achieve Net Zero.

As a Data Solutions Engineer you will be in charge of developing, deploying, and maintaining industrial data and hardware interfaces. This includes metering, telemetry, hardware integration, and converting client needs into a workable solution. The role includes product development and live project work in the field and you will work alongside a range of experienced colleagues across Verco’s broad team.

Role Requirements

To perform well in the role you must maintain a strong technical understanding of data collection and monitoring techniques in order to unlock cost effective data integration opportunities. These systems capture utility data and integrate with our software and data platforms to provide highly functional and cost-effective solutions for the client.

You should have a background in automation and/or data capture and communications. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator as well as have a strong business acumen and problem-solving aptitude.

Developing these data monitoring and hardware interfaces requires a deep experience in automation and metering data solutions, built around protocols such as MODBUS, PROFIBUS and BACnet.

You will get the opportunity to demonstrate a broad range of skills as you will deliver exciting and ground-breaking solutions to clients.

Our projects are varied; sometimes you may be asked to help define a client’s utility mapping roadmap, other times you may be rolling your sleeves up and creating an innovative hardware solution for a complex business problem or even assisting in responding to client bid responses.

Senior Consultant / Client Account Lead - Report for Zero (Real Estate)

Junior Consultant/Energy Engineer

Location: Overmoor (near Bath), Chorley or London

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum plus benefits

Verco is growing and we have a number of opportunities in our Deliver for Zero teams; within our Corporates (Industry) team we are looking for Junior Consultants focussed on Energy and Water Resource Management and in our Real Estate team the roles will be focused on Building optimisation.  We are looking for Junior Consultants as well as more senior grades depending on their energy management or building optimisation experience.

You’ll be joining an award winning energy management and sustainability consultancy with a long track record in the sector.  You will work with a selection of the world’s top companies to help them meet their energy management requirements and be given a high level of autonomy to suggest and lead on new ideas, whilst working with our Consultants, Engineers and Software team.

The Junior Consultant role within our Corporates/Industry team will provide technical input (with training), to complete energy and water saving calculations, work with our in-house energy management software and other third party systems to provide remote analytical support reviewing energy consumption trends, identifying unexpected usage and suggesting potential causes/solutions. You will work with sites to develop metering and data collection solutions that are supported by Verco’s proprietary Carbon Desktop Software.

Marketing Intern

This is a golden opportunity for someone looking for supported, hands-on work experience in the varied and exciting world of marketing!  You will work with our small portfolio of market-leading, mission driven brands.  You will also learn how to use some useful software tools such as InDesign and Hubspot (previous experience is not necessary) which are used in many marketing roles.

Requirements
