About this role

This role sits within our Building Performance and Resilience team which is part of our Sustainable Transition (Delivery) group.  We work with market leaders in commercial real estate to develop innovative global carbon reduction strategies.  Our clients are building owners, real estate investors and developers and our Building Performance and Resilience service acts on clients’ strategic sustainability aspirations, breaking them down into implementable carbon/energy/ adaptation action plans and projects.

As a Junior Consultant your focus is on the delivery of our building performance, resilience and energy management consultancy services to Verco’s clients.  You provide excellent technical capability and input to complex projects, working alongside different teams across the business. You visit our clients’ building portfolios, providing optimisation advice and completing onsite energy audits, group programme support and the development of net zero carbon strategies for clients’ assets.

By engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, you’re able to impact the management of sustainability risks and realise opportunities.

As part of our Building Performance and Resilience team, you contribute to projects that cover the following services:

  1. Readiness assessment of client organisations to deliver sustainable savings.
  2. Identifying and prioritising the most cost-effective opportunities, including technological, behavioural and HVAC optimisation initiatives.
  3. Supporting and building compelling business cases for achieving staged and pragmatic energy and cost reduction.
  4. Delivering services and opportunities, with a guaranteed outcome and savings verified.

Although you are part of the Building Performance and Resilience team, you will have opportunities to work on other projects within our wider real estate and commercial/industrial teams, giving you the runway to develop as well as share your knowledge.

How you contribute

Business development and proposal writing:  You assist in proposal creation through the collation of required information and provide support to the team.

Client management:  You maintain strong relationships with existing clients through the quality of professional interactions.

Operational:  You provide timely responses to operational needs including invoicing, reviews, project management information, time-sheeting, health & safety, etc.
