You’ll be working with industry leaders in the real estate market, playing an important role in delivering on their vision. With a focus on the implementation of sustainability reporting, performance management and benchmarking and through engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, you will play a key role in managing sustainability risks and realising opportunities across their portfolios.

You will bring technical resource excellence to support the delivery of complex projects and business development activities, managing reporting and delivering compliance-based services projects for some of the UK’s leading real estate sustainability teams.

Primary Responsibilities

    Project Management: You’ll be delivering required project inputs according to time, quality and budget requirements. As you develop, you will take responsibility for project work streams and small-scale consulting projects, supporting global data management and environmental reporting projects to deliver our clients’ sustainability objectives and being a pro-active agent of change in support of their ESG market leader agendas.

    Technical input: You’ll provide technical input and high-quality data analysis and insights to projects to support the ongoing sustainability/energy management challenges faced by our clients.

    Business development and proposal writing: You will assist proposal creation through the collation of required information and to provide support to managers and directors to achieve individual and sales targets

    Client management: You’ll develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through the quality of your professional interactions.

    Environmental: Contribute to Verco’s sustainability plans and outcomes as required.

Requirements

Essential:

·       a passion for sustainability & a desire to support others in reducing their environmental impact. 

·       Masters or other relevant post-graduate qualification in engineering, mathematics, geography, environmental science, energy/sustainability or economics with a minimum 2:1

·       an understanding of sustainability issues and energy management including emissions sources across the economy & energy use in buildings and industry.

·       a sophisticated analytical approach with highly competent IT skills, particularly in the use of Excel

·       confident working with large data sets. 

·       demonstrable ability to work independently and creatively on challenging problems

·       strong verbal, written and presentation skills

 

Desirable:

·       some experience of supporting/advising clients on technical issues associated with energy efficiency

·       experience of complex data management or environmental reporting for property portfolios.

·       Knowledge of key UK, EU and international energy & climate change policies & frameworks

·       Working knowledge of MS Power Bi IES Modelling
