We’re going to MIPIM 2025!

Experts from Verco and BIP are looking forward to attending MIPIM 2025 – the global urban festival for real estate professionals.

Taking place in Cannes, France on 11-14 March, the event facilitates a wide range of real estate centred discussions, workshops and panels. With more than 20,000 attendees expected, it’s a great opportunity to exchange experiences, network and develop ideas.

This year, MIPIM has pledged to be a pioneering event in matters of sustainability. We feel there’s no better time for Verco to get involved.

Verco’s Director of Real Estate, Andries van der Walt, will be attending MIPIM this year. With over 20 years’ experience advising businesses on their ESG journeys, his background covers the full range of ESG issues affecting property investment.

Andries will be joining a panel discussion on 11th March at 2pm. Here are the details:

Five years on: Workplace Trends

Five years after the first lockdown, which brought about many new working practices for those in desk-based roles, this session will look at the office of 2025 and beyond. What does an office need to offer to investors, businesses and employees? Will commercial offices remain the safe asset class they have always been in London?

The UK Government is pushing for extended rights to flexible working, arguing it creates a more productive, loyal workforce. However, corporates such as Amazon, who were early supporters of flexible working, are now recalling staff to the office full time. Simultaneously, the effective management of buildings to ensure they are used in the most sustainable and productive way is being constantly improved with digital innovations and AI.

In this session, Andries and other panellists from New West End Company, Gensler and more will discuss the implications of the divide in opinion around flexibility for commercial offices. They will predict how offices of the future need to work to attract investment and occupiers.

Andries said: “I’m looking forward to spending time at MIPIM. The event acknowledges how fast the world is changing and the need for sustainable solutions in real estate. We know how important it is to be proactive about net zero developments and challenges, so I’m eager to chat about how our solutions can help. We're pleased to be expanding our European offering in collaboration with our parent company BIP, so it’s an exciting time to find out about Verco.”

At the event, you’ll be able to find the team at the Verco stand in the London Pavillion.
