Verco switches to Train Hugger to plant trees with every train journey

Verco is now using Train Hugger to book UK trains in an effort to support the restoration of the British countryside while organising travel for work.
Train Hugger is a sustainable travel company. For every journey booked through them, they contribute approximately a quarter of their revenue to restoring the UK's landscape. Their goal is to plant 2 million trees across the UK by 2030 (and make train travel easier and more affordable for their customers too, of course).
Train Hugger recognises that the UK currently has the lowest tree cover in Europe. They are currently working with the Royal Forestry Society and the Royal Scottish Forestry Society to plant climate resilient trees all over the country.
Jennifer Taylor, who manages Verco’s travel, said: ‘We decided to use Train Hugger as we like their ethos. This way, without changing the prices we pay for train bookings, we’re also able to contribute to the reforestation of the UK.’
Train Hugger also has a BCorp certification pending. We’re always pleased to support organisations with concern for the planet’s health and people’s wellbeing at their core.
