Verco's research into carbon offsetting and reduction for international aviation
From 2016 to 2018, Verco were commissioned under the FCO’s Global Britain Fund with the British Embassy in Russia to provide policy advice and evaluation for the Russian Federation. In September 2018, Senior Consultant Adam Smith presented the findings of a research project looking at the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation, or CORSIA, an emission reduction approach for the global airline industry, developed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Adam spoke at the second Climate Forum of Russia Cities, held in Moscow, alongside an international panel of guest speakers from across Europe and Asia.
